IEEE IUB Student Branch organized an exciting seminar on "Higher Studies in USA & Canada" on November 10, 2022 on the university campus. The speaker of the seminar was Dr. Shahriar Khan, Professor, Department of EEE, IUB.

 

In the seminar, the speaker talked about each step of the admission process in detail, including scholarships, visa processing and how to live in the USA and Canada as a student. The motivation of the seminar was to provide the students with valuable information and knowledge on how to approach the process of applying to the USA and Canada from our honorable speaker. A guest speaker, S. M. Nayeem Arefin, Ph.D. student, University of Nebraska-Lincoln and graduate student, Dept. of EEE, IUB joined the seminar online and shared his experiences. More than 35 students and faculty members from the EEE and CSE departments actively participated in a lively discussion with the speakers. It was a great opportunity for students who are considering applying or have already started the process of studying overseas. A token of appreciation was handed over to the speaker by Dr. Feroz Ahmed, Professor and Head, Department of EEE and delivered the vote of thanks.
