Industry 4.0 has been provided for the last 10 years to benefit the industry and the shortcomings; finally, the time for industry 5.0 has arrived. Smart factories are increasing the business productivity. Industry 5.0 opportunities as well as limitations and the future research prospects shall be discussed. Industry 5.0 is changing paradigm and brings the resolution since it will decrease emphasis on the technology and assume that the potential for progress is based on collaboration among the humans and machines. The industrial revolution is improving customer satisfaction by utilizing personalized products. In modern business with the paid technological developments, industry 5.0 is required for gaining competitive advantages as well as economic growth for the factory.

Dr.J.Sudharsan earned his bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Anna University in 2008, and his master's degree in Embedded Systems Technologies from Anna University in 2010. He was awarded Anna Centenary Research Fellow in 2012 and completed a full-time PhD in the field of artificial intelligence and robotics. He was awarded his PhD in engineering in November 2016 after successfully defending his PhD thesis, "Design of Autonomous Learning Algorithm for an 8-DoF Humanoid Robotic Arm Using Hybrid Inverse Kinematic Technique.".

He was an associate professor at Malla Reddy Institute of Engineering and Technology from December 2016 to December 2017, following which he joined Gokaraju Rangaraju Institute of Engineering and Technology in Hyderabad, India, in February 2018. Currently he is also coordinating as Chair for IEEE RAS – Robotics and Automation Society Hyderabad Chapter.

He has also published around 15 research articles on artificial intelligence and robotics in major international journals and conferences. His research paper was named best paper at the "International Conference on Mechanical Engineering, Materials, and Energy," which took place in November 2014 in Singapore.

He was an invited speaker at the International Conference on Mechanical Engineering and Automation Science 2017 (ICMEAS 2017), which was held from October 13 to 15, 2017 at the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom. He attended a one-week summer school on "IEEE RAS Summer School on Soft Manipulation 2017" at Frauenchiemsee, Bavaria, Germany, from July 17 to 21, 2017.

He has successfully completed three research projects worth INR 8.25 lakhs to build industrial and educational Humanoid Robots and Social Robots. He is currently mentoring a startup named “ Institute for Industrial Interdisciplinary Research and Product Development”. His startup has received two research grants worth INR 20 Lakhs from MEITY - Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology of India and MSME - Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprise of India.
