The Medium Voltage Uninterruptible Power Supply (MV UPS)

This presentation will discuss how companies, due to the combination of an increasingly stressed electrical grid and general increase in facility sizes, are implementing power quality solutions at MV level, as this provides a more energy efficient configuration and lower overall cost, due to the lower currents resulting in smaller cables and lower losses. And will provide an overview of the ABB HiPerGuard 15kV-class UPS system, based on a 2.5MW unit size, parallelable to 25MW of total power, offering full power protection, as well as the capability to provide load-leveling, peak-shaving and grid interaction as required.
