IMPETUS’23 was a two-day Electronic Design workshop series organized by the Power and Energy Society of IEEE Student Branch of SLIIT held on the 7th and 8th of January 2023 at the SLIIT premises. Aimed at providing all electronic design enthusiasts with a thorough knowledge of Electronic designing, this workshop mainly covered the topics,

  • Digital Designing
  • Analog Designing
  • PCB Designing

The main target reached through this workshop was to give the participants a comprehensive idea of electronic designing, starting from the basics, teaching them various topics such as the selection of microcontrollers to use of them and also designing an industrial level Printed Circuit Board.

The sessions were conducted by experienced individuals in the electronics industry and they were,

The workshop was held over two days and they were planned as follows.

Biography:

Ms.Hasini Athukorale currently working at Zone 24x7 after completing her BSc(Hons) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering in SLIIT in 2021. She has also completed three month internships at Orel Corporation and Ceylon Electricity Board during her degree course. Prior to her current job she has worked as an electronic engineer at Electronic engineer at MAGICBITS(Pvt) Ltd. and as an Graduates Electronics Engineering Intern at Twinery by MAS Innovations. Ms.Hasini is a proud student of Devi Balika Vidyalaya.

Biography:

Mr.Ranjan Kulathunga has been working at Zone 24x7 since the year 2012, starting off his career as an electronics engineer for a duration of 3 years, then has been working in electronics designing since the year  218 and is currently holding the position of Senior Design Engineer. Mr.Kulathunga has a thorough knowledge in the electronics designing field.
