Abstract: The parallel system theory has been put forward for nearly 20 years. It has developed rapidly in theory and practice. Biography:
Bio: Liu Derong, chair professor and doctoral supervisor of Southern University of Science and Technology. In 1994, he graduated from Notre Dame University with a doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering. Since 1999, he has worked in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of Illinois University in Chicago, successively serving as assistant professor, tenured associate professor and tenured full professor (since 2006). In 2008, he was selected into the "Hundred Talents Program" of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He sereved as the deputy director of the State Key Laboratory for Complex System Management and Control of the Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences (2010 – 2016). He won the 2018 International Neural Network Society Lifetime Contribution Award and the 2022 IEEE Computational Intelligence Society Neural Network Pioneer Award. Since 2017, he has won the title of highly cited scholar of Clarificate for six consecutive years. He was the Editor in Chief of IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems, director of IFAC, and chairman of Asia Pacific Neural Network Society. At present, he is the executive director of China Automation Society and the chief editor of Artificial Intelligence Review. He was elected IEEE Fellow in 2005, INNS Fellow in 2013, IAPR Fellow in 2016, and academician of the European Academy of Sciences in 2021.
刘德荣,南方科技大学讲席教授、博士生导师。1994年从美国圣母大学毕业并获电气工程博士学位。从1999年开始,在芝加哥伊利诺依大学电气与计算机工程系工作,先后任该校助教授、终身职副教授和终身职正教授(2006年起)。2008年,入选中国科学院“百人计划”。曾任中国科学院自动化研究所复杂系统管理与控制国家重点实验室副主任(2010–2016)。获得2018年国际神经网络学会终身贡献奖和2022年IEEE计算智能学会神经网络先驱奖。2017年起连续6年获得Clarivate高被引学者称号。曾任《IEEE神经网络与学习系统汇刊》主编、IFAC理事、亚太神经网络学会主席。现任中国自动化学会常务理事、《人工智能评论》主编。2005年当选IEEE Fellow、2013年当选INNS Fellow、2016年当选IAPR Fellow、2021年当选欧洲科学院院士。
