CODE MENDING
In round 1, a group of 65-70 students participated in the event. We started with some basic questions like syntax errors, use of for loops, operators, etc with each person getting 5 questions for 100 marks with a time limit of 45 min and 5 min as a bonus. After all the students were done, we selected the students whose score was a perfect 100 and qualified them for round 2.
PRAGNYA’22 and IEEE GRIET CIS SB organized a Technical Event, “CODE MENDING” on 10th November 2022. Under the guidance of Y.Subba Rayudu (Assistant Professor, Department of IT GRIET). Code mending, as the name, suggests is related to coding. This particular event was organized to know how good the students are in their coding skills and helped them to improve them. This event has a total of 3 rounds and was conducted on the HackerRank coding platform. The winner was decided purely based on the coding skills. The registration fee was 50 rupees and all the students from 1st to 4th year participated in it.

Each of them was given 5 questions for a total of 100 marks and students with 60+ marks qualified for round 3. In round 3, there were 14 students in total. Each of them got 3 questions and the first person to solve all the 3 questions correctly without any time limit was awarded as the winner followed by the runner. Students were all excited as this event is based on coding and made this event a successful one. We also gave some refreshments in between and cheered them up.
