IN THE LOOP- Coding Contest
IEEE JUIT-SB in collaboration with IEEE MDC organized a Coding Contest “In the Loop”. It was a 2-hour contest organized at Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT), Solan, Himachal Pradesh on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, from 6:00 PM onwards. This contest was exclusively for first-year students who wished to become members of the IEEE Club. The Coding Contest comprised 3 Questions. There were 45 students in total who participated in the contest. This contest was a grand opportunity for the students to learn how to code when they are time bound and go ahead to win the race.
The students participated with full enthusiasm and Jeal and the competitive environment made the students a bit nervous too but at the same time gave them the courage to work harder on questions and to find a unique optimal solution to win the contest and earn prize money of Rs. 2200.
The participants were judged on the bases of the number of problems solved, the total time consumed to solve each problem, and most importantly their approach to solving the problems.
And finally, the event came to an end with the prize distribution. The winners of the contest, Viren Tanti and Samson Vincent Julius got appreciation and prize money of Rs.1100 each (equivalent to the Student membership amount). Some other students, who did really great work, got special mention and appreciation: Tarun Asati, Zama Rizvi, and Varnan Matela.
