CONCOCT
PRAGNYA’22 and IEEE GRIET CIS SB organized a Technical Event, “CONCOCT” on 10th November 2022. Under the guidance of Y. Subba Rayudu (Assistant Professor, Department of IT GRIET). In this event-Concoct, the students were told to take a problem and give an innovative idea to solve it. Mr. Subba Rayudu (Assistant Professor, Department of IT GRIET) was asked to judge this event. Students came with different problems, such as safer travel, agricultural issues, and traffic problems. They started by explaining the problem and continued
by explaining how they would solve it.
Not only did students have to explain their ideas orally, but they were also asked to present a PowerPoint presentation, outlining the problem
and its issues, and then going on to present the solution. There is no need to implement it. Students were just asked how they would solve a
particular problem or an issue. The event is all about innovative thinking and idea generation. This event is to tell students that brainstorming ideas and thinking are primary, and testing is secondary. Each of them was instructed to not use more than 10 slides and given 15
minutes of time to explain their issue with their problem.
