Round table meeting for Data Society

The IEEE P3800 standard establishes a system designed to trade data through domain-independent and principled marketplaces operating under a unified architecture. It defines terminology, a reference model, and the roles and functions of data providers, data users, and data marketplaces. The standard provides an overview of the data trading system using its reference model.

On other hand, Japan has developed a comprehensive data strategy based on the DFFT (Data Free Flow with Trust) concept to promote the creation of a trusted data society.

In this promotion, Japan is building a federal-type data collaboration platform (DATA-EX) that is not limited to specific fields or business categories.

In this field, many stakeholders in Europe have established an architecture for data federation and a system for implementing and operating such an architecture.

The purpose of this roundtable meeting is to recognize common issues that need to be resolved to build a data society and to contribute to international standardization through cooperation.
