Biography:

Mr. Shashi Kiran is working as a technocrat & administrator in Government of India as part of the organized Group ‘A’ service- Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineer (IRSME) having more than 21 years of experience in Indian Railways. Currently, He is posted as Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of North Western Railway. His assignment briefly includes spokesperson of Railway and coordinating with Public representatives on their issues related to Railways. In his previous postings, he has held important portfolios of Deputy General Manager of North western Railway, Dy Chief Environment Manager, Senior Divisional Mechanical Engineer etc. He is also perusing PhD from JK Laxmipat University.

Awards & Achievements:-   

  • National level Minister of Railway award for outstanding achievement and excellence in the year 2021.
  • Awarded with Ministry of Railway award for “Outstanding work in Environment initiatives” by the Minister of Railway in the year 2017.
  • Two times awarded by General Manager for best efficiency in the year 2011 & 2017.
  • Serving as Captain in the 1101 Railway Engineer Regiment/Chandigarh since 2019.
  • Student of Sh. Anand Kumar, “Super 30” fame while studying pre- engineering.
  • Part of theatre group “Gandharv” and acted in two theatre play showcased at many locations in India.
