“Poster/Slogan Making Contest on Save Energy

The Department of Electrical Engineering, GNIT organized a “Poster/Slogan Making Contest on Save Energy” on 23rd December 2022 to celebrate National Energy Conservation Day at the ground floor of GNIT from 11:00 a.m. onwards. This event is supported by IEEE-PES-IAS, Delhi Section, IEEE Photonics Society, Rajasthan Chapter, Prakash Bharati (consortium of IEEE Photonics Society Chapters of India) and GREAT Alliance Foundation( Young Indian Startup)

 

The objective behind the contest was to create awareness among all stakeholders regarding Energy conservation, Ethical use of Energy and saving in energy costs. In the occasion of energy conservation day, students and staffs are made aware of the importance of energy conservation. Prof. Inderpreet Kaur( IEEE Impact Creator), Member Execom IEEE-PES-IAS, Delhi Section, Vice Chair , IEEE Photonics Society, Rajasthan Chapter, Director GREAT Alliance delivered a lecture on “SAVE ENERGY”  and addressed the gathering to take appropriate measures for saving electricity and conserve it. Energy conservation helps in improving the quality of life. It also helps in reducing global warming and other pollutants. We hope that this program will be helpful to everyone in finding detailed insights into how energy conservation works.

 

Prof.(Dr.) Santanu Kumar Sen, Principal GNIT has inaugurate the program. Dr. Barnali Kundu, HOD, Electrical Engineering has coordinated the whole program. Faculty and staffs from every department have attended the program.

 

The Poster/Slogan Making Contest witnessed the participation of more than 50 students from various streams of Guru Nanak Institute of Technology, Kolkata. 

Principal, GNIT and HOD, EE felicitate the winners by certificate and Cash Prize at the Prize Distribution Ceremony. The names of winners are as follows:

 

First Prize winner: Ms. Ankita Das, Student of 1st Year, Information Technology

Second Prize winner: Mr. Attundra Ghosh, Student of 1st Year, Electrical Engineering

Third Prize winner: Mr. Arpan Das, Student of 1st Year, Electrical Engineering
