IEEE SVCE UTSAV 2022
The advent of the event is to “Celebrate the Joy of Technology” organized by IEEE Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering Student Branch in association with Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering, Tirupati, IEEE Students and IEEE Collabratec. IEEE SVCE UTSAV 2022 is a two days event with the theme of "Celebrating the Joy of Technology". This event is held physically in Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering, Tirupati. This event is a colloquium. Various Workshops, Industry Connect sessions, Competitions, and other sessions were organized as a part of the event. Our main goal is to empower students and also celebrate the joy of technology at the same time.
Event Description:
Day 1:
The Grand Inauguration of IEEE SVCE UTSAV 2022 began with the introduction of the event and welcome note at 10 AM followed by a Classical Dance at 10.10 AM. Then the guests are invited onto the stage for the traditional event opening with lamp lighting and a traditional song. After lamp lighting, the dignitaries firstly, Dr N. Sudhakar Reddy, Principal of Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering addressed the gathering and made the delegates understand the importance of taking part in the events like IEEE SVCE UTSAV 2022. Next, Dr T. Kalpalatha Reddy, Principal of Sri Venkateswara Engineering College, addressed the gathering and asked the student delegates to actively participate in the event. Next, Dr. B. Sriram, CEO of the Data Security Council of India, addressed the gathering, appreciated IEEE SVCE SB for being active and asked the delegates to benefit from this event. Lastly, Mr T. Vidya Sagar, Chair of IEEE Hyderabad Section Student Activities Committee and Cloud Architect and Advisor, TCS, addressed the gathering and motivated all the students with his speech. All the special guests launched the new logo of IEEE SVCE Student Branch and also started the event. On that special occasion, at that special moment itself, IEEE SVCE SB's official website was launched by the dignitaries. Finally, one of our volunteers briefed the delegates about the schedule of the two days event. As the inauguration was completed, the honorable chief guest Dr. B. Sriram, CEO of the Cyber Security of Excellence, Data Security Council of India gave a session on “Cyber Security”. All the students were enthusiastic the whole session. Speaker explained the importance of cyber security in the current generation and also the cyber security industry and market. After the session, Dr. B. Sriram, CEO of the Cyber Security of Excellence, Data Security Council of India and Principals, S V Colleges and other colleges exchanged the MoU’s. All the Delegates, Staff and Guests were provided with a delicious lunch by the organizing committee.After the Lunch Break, two sessions began parallelly - one is the seminar on Image Processing by Dr G. Rama Krishna from IIT, Tirupati and the other is .NET Full Stack workshop by Mr. M. Pranay Kashyap. The speaker of the session, Image Processing, started his presentation with a brief introduction regarding what is image processing, why is the image processed and what is its need and all. He also explained the restoration of blur and applications of computer vision. The session was interactive and the delegates gained some knowledge by the end of the session. At the same time, all the registered participants attended the .NET Full Stack workshop. All the students from different institutions were excited to learn new concepts in the workshop. The students were given the instructions prior to the workshop, so all the participants brought their own laptops with the given softwares installed. Speaker Mr. M. Pranay Kashyap helped all the participants with the installation process. The workshop had both theoretical concepts and hands-on sessions. The students learned the basic concepts of .NET Full Stack and also completed some sample projects as a part of the hands-on session. The workshop lasted for more than 2 hours and at the end all the participants were presented with workshop participation certificates by the Speaker. In the Evening after all the sessions and workshops of Day 1, the delegates were provided with the tea and snacks in the snacks break. Later in the evening, around 6 PM we had a cultural night in the open auditorium. Various teams from Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering and Sri Venkateswara Engineering College participated in the competition. After all the performances, judges decided the final winners.
Day 2:
Day 2 of IEEE SVCE Utsav 2022 began with a Flash Mob at 10:00 AM. The student branch volunteers gave an elegant performance. The Flash Mob lasted for an hour. All the participants were excited and enjoyed it a lot. Then all the participants were provided with the tea and snacks in the snacks break. After the break various events of Day 2 have started. As soon as the break ended, there was a session on Simulation based learning through vLabs by Ravi Sankar Pillutla, Program Manager, vLabs, IIIT. The speaker detailed the metrics used in virtual labs. He explained what a virtual lab is and why it is relevant to the students.The speaker also showed the increase in the rate of colleges using virtual labs all over India, through patterns for better understanding. He also explained how to map virtual labs with the academic curriculum of the students. The speaker, with the help of another speaker, Mrudvika Damaraju explained the services that are available in virtual labs like videos, analysis, feedbacks etc.. At the end of the session, the speaker asked all the students to make proper use of virtual labs. Immediately after this session, there was another session on Health Industry Transformation post COVID by Dayanidhi Krishna, VP, AMT. In this session, the speaker explained how the health industry changed after COVID times. He also explained what are the major changes that are introduced post COVID. He spoke a few words regarding digital health passports, how and why these are used. The speaker also gave few details regarding infectious disease and its cure. His presentation also depicted wearables and IOT, AI and ML in medical devices. By the end of the session, delegates felt that they had known some facts regarding health industry transformation.After some competitions like Group Discussion and Mock interviews, at 12:00 PM the session “Talk on industry readiness on recent technologies to the students” by Dr. P.E.S.N. Krishna Prasad was started. Participants from different colleges attended the session. The session was so interesting and beneficial to all the students. Speaker gave all the free resources available from different reputed companies to students. Speaker also explained all the things needed to be in the resume to get oneself hired by any company. The Speaker gave a brief information about the latest technologies in the market like Cloud, Cyber Security, Block Chain, Python etc,. All the participants were so interested in the session and noted all the points explained by the speaker. After the sessions and competitions, all the Delegates, Staff and Guests were provided with a delicious lunch by the organizing committee. After the lunch all the participants gathered at the auditorium, the next session was from the guest of honor, Mr. T. Vidyasagar, Cloud Architect & Advisor (TCS). The session was about “ Branding/ Career in IT Industry”. Speaker explained the importance of branding and how to brand yourself. Speaker explained the topic with a wonderful presentation with various useful videos. The session was interesting and all the delegates learned a lot from the session. Ultimately, IEEE SVCE UTSAV 2022 concluded with a closing ceremony by Dr . N. Sudhakar Reddy, Mr. T. Vidya Sagar and Dr. P.E.S.N. Krishna Prasad. Participants have shared their views on the event and expressed how insightful the event was. At last all the participants, delegates, and volunteers took a picture together.
