IEEE Superior University Student Branch and CS & IT Faculty in collaboration with ORIC Superior University, IEEE University of South Asia Student Branch, IEEE Independent University Bangladesh Student Branch, IEEE Women In Engineering Chapter IUB SB AG and Xperteq – Learning Association Professionals & Students is organizing an International Webinar titled "Introducing Biomedical Instrumentation & Signal Processing Lab: BISPL@IUB & Its Research Activities" on 6th February, Monday.
Timing for this webinar is 7:00 PM (PK Time Zone) & 8:00 PM (BD Time Zone). It will be live streamed from the Youtube Channel - Xperteq – Learning Association Professionals & Students.
Dr. Md. Kafiul Islam, Associate Professor at EEE Department Independent University Bangladesh will be the speaker of this webinar. He is an Associate Editor of IEEE Access, Guest Associate Editor of Special issue in Frontiers in Computational Neuroscience. Biomedical Technology is the application of the principles and problem-solving techniques of engineering to biology and medicine. This is evident throughout healthcare, from diagnosis and analysis to treatment and recovery, and has entered the public conscience through the proliferation of implantable medical devices, such as pacemakers and artificial hips, to more futuristic technologies such as stem cell engineering and the 3-D printing of biological organs.

Biography:
Dr. Md Kafiul Islam has received his B.Sc. in EEE from Islamic University of Technology (IUT), Gazipur, Bangladesh in 2008 and completed his PhD from Dept. of ECE, NUS, Singapore in the area of Neural Signal Processing back in 2015. Currently he is serving as an Associate Professor and Course Coordinator in the Dept. of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of Independent University, Bangladesh. His research interests include biomedical instrumentation and signal processing, neural signal processing, brain-computer interface (BCI), etc. He is actively involved as a TPC member of several international conferences, and he reviews Journal articles frequently. He is also involved as a member of the Editorial Board of several journals. He is an Associate Editor of IEEE Access, Guest Associate Editor of Special issue in Frontiers in Computational Neuroscience.
