This seminar was organized to promote regional language, optics and photonics. In this talk, Prof. M L Singh (GNDU, Amritsar) discussed the applications of lasers and fibre in the modern world. He also discussed the research topics in the field of optics with the students. The target audience was PG/UG students, early career researchers and faculty. There were around 90 participants. At the end of the talk Dr. M L Singh has given many examples of the students who were not good at English but worked hard and now they are successful.
