Biography:

Ruben is an experienced energy engineer and plasma physicist. He obtained a Master's degree in Engineering Technology from the University of Antwerp and a Master's degree in Engineering Sciences from the KULeuven, with a specialization in energy, thermodynamics and plasma physics. After two years working in the private sector as a consultant, he decided to pursue a PhD in the Nuclear Fusion group of the KULeuven. His research focuses on the simulations of plasma transport in nuclear reactors and he is currently collaborating with the Max-Planck Institute in Germany to improve their simulation software
