Electromagnetic Field Standards
Title: The History and Development of Radio Frequency Standards
Electromagnetic fields are ubiquitous in our environment. Have you ever wondered how they affect the body? Are there any biological effects associated with EMF, specifically radio frequency exposure? How are we, as civilians protected from RF exposures? Mr Escobar will take a deep dive into the history of radio frequency standards. As an editorial working group chair of the IEEE International committee of electromatic safety, he will provide some insight to the complexity of developing a consensus standard. He will also discuss where the standards are used and how they are implemented.
