Cloud Computing is an evolving space. Many often wonder what about the fascination that companies have with Cloud Computing. This talk will give an overview of the most commonly used services, compare the offerings of the various Cloud Computing Vendors and provide a brief introduction into some architectural design considerations when building an application within the Cloud.

Cloud Computing is an evolving space. Many often wonder what about the fascination that companies have with Cloud Computing. This talk will give an overview of the most commonly used services, compare the offerings of the various Cloud Computing Vendors and provide a brief introduction into some architectural design considerations when building an application within the Cloud.

Biography:

Mike has over 30 years of IT Operations Experience and has spent the last 18 years of his career at Verizon. While at Verizon, Mike has been the technical lead of multiple teams within DataCenter Operations and has spent the last 7 years of his career working in the Cloud Computing Space. His  team is responsible for Governance and oversight of all Cloud offerings and he is the lead AWS Cloud Solutions Architect on that team.
