Software Defined Open Architecture Modems (SDOAMs)

offer features such as flexibility, extensibility, in-field

configurability to ensure the end user gets the best

performance during an operation with the right user

experience. In this talk, I share our experiences and learnings

from deployments of our software defined modems for

applications such as marine robotics, underwater sensors

and reconfigurable underwater wireless networks in some of

the most challenging waters of Singapore (tropical, shallow

and warm).
