On Thursday, 29th December 2022, the IEEE SIT SB decided to host the 6th event of their ForBy Series, “Predictive Learning Using Sci-Kit”, hosted by fellow student Anirudh U.G, a 2nd Year Student of the AI/DS Department of Sri Sairam Institute of Technology. The event started at 7:00pm, with a welcome address by a fellow student, following which the speaker elaborated on the methods of predictive analysis and learning, namely regression and correlation, and how it could be made possible using the Sci-Kit module in Python. He demonstrated its usage by using the module’s functions on data regarding rainfall patterns, etc. This was followed by a vote of thanks from Dr Saritha.G, the IEEE SB SIT Counselor and a feedback form was circulated, which generated positive feedback.
