Wilkes IEEE Engineering Olympics

At Wilkes University, the Wilkes IEEE Student Chapter hosts an Engineering Olympics for local area high schools to compete in engineering challenges centered around the four engineering challenges at Wilkes University. Each school will be bringing 8 students, where each challenge will have two student per school to complete it. These four engineering areas are Electrical, Mechanical, Environmental, and Civil Engineering. The events are created by Wilkes IEEE Members and other Engineering Students at Wilkes University who have experience in those fields or are majoring in those fields. This event is staffed by IEEE Members at Wilkes, Engineering Students from other Engineering Majors, and also Faculty and Staff in the Engineering Departments at Wilkes University. The high school students and volunteers at this event also receive a T-shirt to remember the event, and the winning groups in each category also receive a plaque/trophy. Here is a list of the high schools that will be attending this event:

3. Wilkes Barre Area STEM Academy
4. Wyoming Seminary College Preparatory School
5. Forest City Regional High School
6. Wyoming Valley West High School
7. Pittston Area High School
8. Greater Nanticoke Area High School
