During this event the IEEE WIE LVS will provide ice-cream to in-person attendees during the discussion following the talk. Hear how students, faculty, and attendees have been using AI or ChatGPT, what they have encountered, the issues they faced, and current recommendations and resolutions on generative AI tools.

In-person attendance, and ice cream, will be offered at Lehigh University, Albright College, Wilkes University and East Stroudsburg University. For in-person, please type in which of the four locations you will attend from when you register.

Professor Bonnie Rohde Professor Bonnie Rohde of Albright College

Biography:

Bonnie Rohde is a highly creative, higher education instructor of business and technology with over fifteen years of experience teaching Entrepreneurship, International Management, Operations Management, Senior Seminar in Sport Management and Management of Information Systems at Albright College. Bonnie is a member of the Association of Information Systems, the Academy of Management, the Eastern Academy of Management, The American Marketing Association, the United States Association of Small Business and Entrepreneurship, and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) where she is part of the P2020 Standards Association for Autonomous Vehicle Imaging Technology and is the Chair of the Women in Engineering Lehigh Valley Chapter Affinity Group. Prior to joining academia, she owned a business consultancy after twenty years of experience in the telecommunication and microelectronic industries of AT&T, a Fortune 50 corporation. While employed at AT&T which became Lucent Technologies, she had experience in international marketing, global program management and high-tech semiconductor design and manufacturing. Bonnie holds an M.B.A. in International Business from St. Joseph’s University, an M.B.A. in MIS from Wilmington University, a B.S. in Computer Science and Marketing from Albright College, and an A.S. in Electronics Technology from Lincoln Technical Institute. She is certified in Data Science, Project Management, and Total Quality Management. She is also a certified practitioner in the Entrepreneurial Mindset, Social Global Entrepreneurship from the International Council of Small Business, Smart Cities from the Smart Cities Council, and Peer Reviewer for Quality Matters.

Dr. Lifang He Dr. Lifang He of Lehigh University

Lifang He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Lehigh University. She received the B.S. degree in Computational Mathematics from Northwest Normal University in 2009, and the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from South China University of Technology in 2014. Before joining Lehigh, she was a postdoc associate in the Perelman School of Medicine at University of Pennsylvania, and the Weill Cornell Medical College of Cornell University. Her research interests primarily focus on machine learning/deep learning, data mining, and tensor analysis, with major applications in social science and neuroscience. She has published more than 120 papers in refereed journals and conferences, such as WIREs Computational Molecular Science, Neural Networks, IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering, IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, IEEE Transactions on Medical Imaging, NeurIPS, ICML, CVPR, MICCAI, KDD, AAAI, EMNLP.
