Are you eligible for IEEE Senior Member status or have you ever wondered if you are eligible?

Have you ever said or thought "Gee, I should probably upgrade to senior member status"?

Now is your chance!

The Central Iowa Section wants to help you upgrade to Senior Membership. We are offering a Saturday morning where we will explain the upgrade and take the necessary steps online for you to initiate your upgrade application.

NOTE:

If you have a wifi capable laptop please bring it and you will be able to start your appliation online.

Also, having an electronic version of your current CV/resume will be helpful.

Senior Member upgrade eligibility requirements:

be an engineer, scientist, educator, technical executive, or originator in an IEEE-designated field;
have experience reflecting professional maturity;
have been in professional practice for at least ten years (with some credit for certain degrees);
show significant performance over a period of at least five of your years in professional practice.

GOOD NEWS:
There is no extra cost to upgrade to Senior Member Grade. Your IEEE dues will remain the same.

MORE GOOD NEWS:

Recognition: The professional recognition of your peers for technical and professional excellence.

Senior member plaque: You will receive an engraved Senior Member plaque to be proudly displayed for colleagues, clients and employers to see. The plaque, an attractive fine wood with bronze engraving, will be sent within six to eight weeks after elevation.

$25 coupon: IEEE will recognize you as a newly elevated Senior member with a coupon worth up to $25. This coupon can be used to join one new IEEE society. The coupon expires on 31 December of the year in which it is received.

Letter of commendation: Upon your request, a letter of commendation will be sent to your employer on the achievement of Senior member grade.

Announcements: Announcement of your elevation will be made on our section website and at this year's annual meeting.
