Sensors Using Glass and Plastic Optical Fibers and Design Displacement Sensor
1. Discuss Basics of Optical Fiber
2. Discuss on various Sensors using Optical Fibers
3. Discusss Design methodology of -Displacement Sensor and its characteristics
4. Test the Displacemnt sensor in the Lab at VIT,Pune,India.
5. Test digital transmission. Explain analogue transmission and show how it works
6. Given assignment to construct two Displacemnt transducersand use 1 meter length plastic fiber , two in number.
7. Students will form two groups of 4 each and try to assemble all components. Planned to meet July2023 end or August2023 in 1st week for final demo of the sensor made by students.
