Tabil Ahammed

Shaping the Next Generation of Power Engineers

Biography:

Md. Tabil Ahammed is currently working as a Teaching Assistant along with pursuing his M.Sc. in ECE at Khulna University of Engineering and Technology.

He graduated from the Bangladesh University of Business and Technology with a B.Sc. in EEE, as an active member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Md. Tabil Ahammed holds several leadership positions within the organization. He serves as the Vice Chair of IEEE PES Day, a global event that aims to celebrate the achievements of power and energy professionals while promoting innovation and collaboration in the industry.

Additionally, he is the Global YP Summit Coordinator for IEEE PES Young Professionals, where he helps to organize and lead events for young professionals in the power and energy sector.

 

Furthermore, Md. Tabil Ahammed is also the Secretary of the IEEE Photonics Society Bangladesh Chapter, which aims to promote the study of the science and application of light and serves as the Student Activity Coordinator of the IEEE Computer Society Bangladesh Chapter, where he supports the professional development of students in the field of computer science.

Overall, Md. Tabil Ahammed's impressive achievements and leadership positions within IEEE, along with his academic pursuits and teaching experience, demonstrate his commitment to the power and energy industry, as well as his dedication to the professional development of himself and others in his field.

Urslah Wendo Ngala

Youth Inclusion in the Energy Space for Climate Change Mitigation

Biography:

Ms. Urslah is a renewable energy enthusiast, a systematic professional, and a pragmatic with technical knowledge of current research and trends in renewable energy, climate change and sustainable development. Championing the role of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy in our day-to-day activities, the 4th Industrial Revolution (4IR) and climate change as well as youth inclusion in Energy Space.

She is currently working as a technical sales advisor at  Creative Innovations Ltd - Energy department.

She is also a member of AEPEA, and an apprentice with KEREA.


Ian Muhuhu Chege

Topic:

The role of nanotechnology and energy-efficient medical devices in renewable energy

Biography:

Ian Muhuhu Chege is an engineering student, mentor, tech enthusiast, climate action advocate, and event planner and organizer.

He serves in his Student Branch ExCom as the PES Student Branch Ambassador Lead and the EMBS Second Year Representative.

He has served in the organizing committee of conferences such as IEEE PES YP MCDPAC'22, ICRCS'23 and has served as an ambassador on various events. He is also a Student Member Representative in the IEEE Nanotechnology YP Region 8 Committee. He is also a pilot coordinator and publicity volunteer in IEEE YESIST12 2023, and serves in the IEEE PES DAY 2023 Design Team and Student Branch Ambassador.

Kimathi Sally Kinya

Green Energy Goes Mobile: How Electric Vehicles are Changing the Game

Biography:

Kimathi Sally Kinya is a mechatronics student and a vehicular automation enthusiast with a passion for electric automobiles and clean energy. Sally has participated in several electric vehicle awareness events, including the Green Global Footprint Initiative's event in 2023 at Karura Forest Kenya, where she interacted with companies in Kenya embracing electric vehicles such as Arc Ride, Ebee, BasiGo, Esafiri, and GGFI itself as well as webinar events. Sally has also authored a blog on EVs and participated in the DeKUT SB branch outreach, where she discussed wireless charging in electric vehicles. Sally has been actively promoting the use of electric vehicles in Kenya and has dedicated herself to researching and designing an electric vehicle prototype. She has read numerous research articles from the IEEE Library on electric vehicles and their structures and has been incorporating this knowledge into her project. Sally is a passionate advocate for green energy and sustainability and is committed to helping keep the climate green and more sustainable.
