Ensuring NB-IoT Device NTN Performance
Defined in 3GPP Release 17, non-terrestrial networks (NTN) and their extension to NB-IoT have already begun to revolutionize wireless communication through satellite-based IoT devices and SOS messaging on smartphones. As NTN technology continues to gain momentum, ensuring optimal performance for devices using NTN (NTN devices) will become increasingly critical. With the potential to provide global network coverage via satellite, NTN devices must be rigorously tested and optimized to ensure they can reliably deliver wireless communication with both GEO and LEO satellite constellations. In this webinar, we will explore the latest market trends and best practices for testing and optimizing NTN devices, including using the R&S CMW500 radio communication tester, the industry-leading network simulator for all IoT, now including NTN-IoT, technologies.
Biography:
Manuel Galozy is Product Manager for mobile communication testers such as the R&S®CMX500 and the R&S®CMW500 at Rohde & Schwarz headquarters in Munich, Germany. He is an expert on the subject matter of cellular technologies, with a strong focus on RF and protocol stack testing for 5G and LTE. Before joining the product management team in 2011, he used to support worldwide key customers as an application engineer for the R&S®CMW500 as well as the R&S®CRTU-W protocol tester. Manuel gained his first telecom expertise as a GSM and GSM-R expert working for infrastructure vendor Nortel Networks in Friedrichshafen, Germany, before joining Rohde & Schwarz in 2007. He holds a degree in computer science at Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University in Ravensburg, Germany.
