Lots of waste is generated at home daily such as coconut shells, old newspapers, glass jars, plastic bottles and cardboard boxes. All these can be used in a creative way to spruce up the interiors. Best out-of-waste simply means to make something innovative and attractive out of the material that is of no use otherwise. Creating something new from the old, recycling and upcycling, are the best ways to reduce one’s carbon footprint. With DIY items made from waste, one can decorate their home. These crafts are great for your children in their school projects. Moreover, you can use these best waste craft ideas to decorate your home and reuse materials.

Project Motivation: Waste management should begin at home. Reduce, reuse and recycle waste at home to lessen the amount of waste that goes to the landfill. It is a great idea to reuse this waste to help the environment to prosper.

Dr. Vijayalaxmi Biradar currently holds the position of Director, IQAC in Kalinga University, Raipur. She has completed her Ph.D from GITAM University, Visakhapatnam in the year 2016. Presently Chairperson IEEE WIE AG Madhya Pradesh Section 2023. IEEE STEM Champion 2023, An overwhelming number of applications, 92 in all, were received from volunteers all over the world. 26 IEEE STEM Champions were selected. With over 80 research papers to her name on topics ranging from image processing, robotics and IOT, Dr. Vijayalaxmi sure has carved a niche for herself in her field. An active senior IEEE member since 12 years, she has meticulously handled the positions of Chairperson ( WIE Hyderabad section) and analysis manager ( R10 WIE). She was also selected as volunteer and exemplary volunteer for IEEE WIE - ILC at San Jose, USA in 2017 and 2018.

She was granted research and consultancy projects worth 60 lakhs from SERB, Govt. of India, epics in IEEE, SIGHT/HAC, IEEMA, IEEE CSS, Unnat Bharat abhiyan.

She also has 2 patents to her name.

A passionate and Hardworking person, Dr. Vijayalaxmi has many other feathers to her cap and one will run out of pages in an attempt to describe her illustrious career.
