Biography:
University professor and accomplished digital transformation expert with progressive career record spanning the full range of ICT consultancy. A visionary strategist focused on bringing value for investment to information systems, ICT projects, and business innovation. Past performances include assessing, evaluating and designing cost-effective systems and networks, knowledge management studies, and overhauling educational business processes to improve learning and teaching through the effective, embedded, innovative, and sustainable use of ICT.
Provided digital consultancy services and expertise in Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, Tunisia, and Egypt for the private sector, the public sector, and regional and international organizations.
Served as a technical advisor to the Lebanese minister of telecommunications (Feb. 2014- Dec.2016. Provided intellectual and knowledge-based services (e.g. expert analysis and advice) through delivering reports, studies, assessments, recommendations, and proposals that contribute to decision or policy-making in the Ministry.
Holds a BE in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Tech, Atlanta, GA, and a PhD in Telecommunications (Signal Processing-Biometrics) from Télécom ParisTech, Paris, France. Research interests include Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Virtual/Augmented Reality, Biometrics.
