Intelligent optical coherence tomography for biomedical applications
Optical coherence tomography (OCT) is a 3D cross-sectional microscopic imaging modality with numerous biomedical applications, such as disease diagnosis, surgical guidance and treatment management. In this seminar, we will share our ongoing research in the following aspects: (1) quantitative optical coherence elastography instrument that quantifies mechanical properties of tissue with microscopic resolution; (2) innovative strategy for knowledge discovery from massive OCT data to assist clinical decision making; (3) compressed sensing OCT that beats the fundamental Nyquist theorem; (4) development of multimodality imaging platform that integrates OCT and other advanced microscopy techniques.
