IEEE GRIET SB's executive committee has conducted an intriguing quiz competition, "ENIGMA 2.0," on June 3, 2023, with the tagline ‘A game of tactics," which perfectly sums up the quiz. The participants had to strategically plan in order to accomplish their goals and make the right decisions to come up with answers. This was a fantastic opportunity for students to showcase their knowledge. The goal of the quiz was to assess and improve their problem-solving skills, time management, teamwork, general knowledge, risk management, and ability to work under pressure.

Ms.Dakshitha and Mr.Bharghav have hosted the event exceptionally well. The event started off with a welcoming yet informative speech regarding the event and its proceedings. It has helped the participants gear up and boost up for the competition.

The quiz consisted of not just classroom knowledge but many other topics that the participants were really interested in, such as movies, kpop, food and travel, sports, technology, history, geography, music, aptitude, and general knowledge. Out of the 200 members, 50 teams comprising four members each were formed. The teams were then divided into two slots, with each slot having 25 teams. There was active participation from both the 1st and 2nd years.
The quiz was conducted on a website called Gimkit; it was a rewarding five-round competition. The quiz did not comprise just direct questions but also picture-based questions, chronological orders, emoji-based questions, and multiple-correct option questions in order to make the participants more interested and entertained.

Firstly, the participants were given a chance to play a demo game in order to make them understand the instructions and how to use the power-ups and upgrades. The hosts, followed by the committee members, have explained the process as well as guided them in the best possible ways.

The quiz consisted of different kinds of power-ups, such as insurance, streak bonuses, money per question, and multipliers. The participants were instructed to buy the power-ups from the
shop based on the points they scored.

The first round took place with slot 1 of 25 teams and 4 members each. The quiz duration was 30 minutes, and the teams had to answer as many questions as possible and earn the most points. This round was exciting as well as stressful for a lot of teams. The number of drastic changes in the projected leaderboard was surprising to everyone. Using the power-ups has helped them either gain double points or lose all of them, so the teams had to choose them wisely and be attentive
the whole time. This process was then followed for slot 2 as well.

The top 15 teams from both slots 1 and 2 were selected for the next round, which lasted 15 minutes. This has assisted the participants in managing their time and points and helped them learn from the previous round. All the teams have thoroughly enjoyed themselves and developed new skills.

The top 5 teams from each slot were then picked out for the final round conducted on the platform Kahoot, which was 30 minutes long and each question had a time limit of 20 seconds.

The final round was filled with lots of nerve-wracking moments. The finalists teams had to answer the questions correctly and as quickly as possible to stay at the top of the leaderboard, and there was no negative grading. Nobody could predict the winners until the end of the game. The final round
tested their strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, and precision.
After the conclusion of the final round, the top 3 teams were:
 Winners: Team Hashiras
1.Rushika; 2.Bhuvaneshwar; 3.Likitha; 4.Shreya

1st runner-ups: Team Elite Titans
1. Amit Jagini; 2. Kotha Anirudh; 3. P. Yaswanth Reddy; 4. N. Puneeth Sai;
 2nd runner-ups: Team Thunderbuddies:

1. Sree Vardhan; 2. Anup; 3. Anjali; 4. Harika

The winning teams have received a cash check of Rs. 2,000, whereas the first runner-ups have received a cash prize of Rs. 1,000. Mrs. Hima Bindhu, head of the department of ECE, honoured the winners with cash prizes and certificates. The event was then concluded at 3:45.
The event was a massive success in terms of its efficient conduct and enthusiastic participation. The students were able to improve their skills and knowledge effectively. It has not only supported them in learning new things, but they’ve also had a great time having fun and enjoying themselves throughout the competition.
IEEE GRIET SB has shown utmost professionalism and commitment in order to provide diverse opportunities for students to bring out their best, help them excel, and create a healthy competition by organising such activities.
