Share

Members of the Bremen-Mexican Network BREMEX focused on the development of sustainable technology for environmental applications (bremex-steaps.net) with the aim to provide students with tools to correlate experimental synthesis of materials and device fabrication with computational techniques for the development of sensors.

Topics

Hybrid interfaces in experiments and simulation:

  • Experimental insights on fabrication and characterization of diverse nanomaterials for devices and sensing applications.
  • Recent trends in simulations of interfaces - thermodynamical properties/statistical physics (dynamic) vs. structure/energy optimizing methods (static) in atomistic simulations.
  • two approaches to evaluate total energies: Density functional theory (DFT) vs. force-field (FF) simulation methods

Event in 2 modalities:

1. In presence (Max 15 persons)

2. Remote in Zoom (Max 30)

Acceptance of attendants will be confirmed by email.

Invited guests from Germany:

Dr. Susan Köppen, M.Sc. Maria von Einem, M. Sc. Eric Macke.

Bremen Center for Computational Material Sciences, Hybrid Materials Interfaces (HMI) Group, U. Bremen.

National Invited speakers:

Dr. Jairo C. Nolasco, Veracruz University, Mexico.

Dr. Orlando Hernández Cristóbal, ENES Morelia UNAM, Mexico.

In addition, in open discussions we want to involve the participants in science regarding diversity aspects and internationality, and to invite them enrolling IEEE in both Germany and Mexico, mainly to strengthen our Bremen-Mexican network under the roof of the EDS. This, is to expand our cooperation for the benefit of both societies
