IEEE Microgrids in Health Care Facilities NFPA 99
Join us for a session on Emergency Back up systems using Microgrids for health care facilities.
Until recently, it was unthinkable to support hospital emergency power or to have an alternate resource other than diesel generators. However, with the re-writing of the governing standard, National Fire Protection (NFPA) 99, as well as the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services categorical waiver, a new era has been ushered in that gives hospitals far greater flexibility. We will discuss the substantive changes and what this may mean for healthcare design professionals and facilities.
