Birth Anniversary of “Sri Nivasa Ramanujan” As“NATIONAL MATHEMATICS DAY-2022
National Mathematics Day is celebrated on 22 December every year to spread awareness about the importance of mathematics and the contributions made by the scholar of mathematics Srinivasa Ramanujan. The government of India decided in 2012 to celebrate National Mathematics Day on 22 December on the birth anniversary of Srinivasa Ramanujan. Keeping in view, Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Engineering & Computing Science celebrated the 135th birth annivarsary of “Srinivasa Ramanujan” as National Mathematics Day. Program started with lighting of lamp in front of Maa Saraswati & Photo of Srinivasa Ramanujan by the chief guest Dr. Manoj Kumar, Associate Professor, Gurukula Kangri Vishvidhyalya, Haridwar, Dr. Ajit Kumar, HoD, Mathematics and Dr. Vipin Kumar Event Co-ordinator.
Faculty members enlightened on the efforts made by Ramanujan in the field of Mathematics. Dr. Manoj Kumar presented the complete biography of Ramanujan and discussed about his educational life& also discussed the application of vedic mathematics. Students performed the play on the topic Importance of Mathematics. Department also organized the quiz competition, Presesntation, group dance, speech. Event was host by Preetveer Singh & Prena Saini. Abhilasha Saxena, Aadarsh Kesari, Arise Khan got the Ist, IInd & IIIrd position in speech competition
