Biography:
Our Main speaker of the day, Joe Mwangi is an experienced Senior Chemist at the Nuclear Power and Energy Agency (Kenya) with an experience of 14 years. His speciality includes:
1.Nuclear Fuel Management in light water reactors (APR1400 & OPR 1000), in core loading pattern which includes fresh fuel, burnt fuke, and burnable poisons core location, cycle length ( refuelling interval) optimization, burnable poison type and total loadings.
2. Policy formulation, Nuclear Fuel Cycle & Radiactive Waste management Policy.
3. Nuclear fuel cycle, back end in spent fuel management in irradiated fuel from reactor core.
