Bluetooth -- "The what and the why":  IEEE Fellow and IMRC member Joe Decuir KF7BMD will provide a rich exploration of Bluetooth.  Based on his involvement and experience, Joe will provide insights on how Bluetooth came to be, some insights on the (IEEE) standards process and the associated radio technology, and the protocols used.

Joe Decuir KF7BMD

Biography:

Joe Decuir KF7BMD is an IEEE Fellow with a background in video game design, communications standards related to wired and wireless communications.  He is located in Issaquah Washington, involved in IEEE Standards, Region 6 governance,  several IEEE Societies, as well as IEEE MOVE.  After a career in industry, he now teaches at the University of Washington at Bothell.
