"Unlocking Opportunities for Women in Engineering through IEEE WiE Affinity Group"

Biography:

Mrs Rushali Thakkar completed her bachelors in Electrical Engineering from FCRIT in the year 1999 and then, pursued her Masters from Walchand college of engineering sangli with specialization in control systems with distinction. She is working as an Assistant Professor at
M.H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering, Mumbai University and pursuing Ph.D at Sardar Patel Institute of Technology Andheri, Mumbai.
She started her professional journey as a Design Engineer at Marine Electricals and Fabricons and worked on Power Circuit & Control Circuit drawings for 2 years before stepping into the field of academic and research. Her research domain is Power Electronics, Renewable Energy sources, Battery Management Systems and EVs. She is currently working on Battery Management Systems and Design of Power converter circuits for Electric Vehicles.  She won the Global Eminent Academician Award for Outstanding Service in Teaching by VIJ
trust in 2021 and also received Minor Research Grant in the year 2021 from Mumbai University for the research project "Design and Development of Power Electronic Converter for Active Balancing lithium ion battery. She is currently serving as Vice-Chair, IEEE WIE Affinity Group Bombay Section and Vice-Chair for IEEE PES Bombay Section. She is also a execom member of PES Humnaitarian Activity Committee leading as Chair of Event and Newsletter Sub Committee. She is contributing as Chair Partnership Committee to YESIST12 an international talent show where student and young professionals expose their budding ideas to resolve the social and humanitarian issues and RMC Returning Mothers Conference who is looking for career awareness, career comeback and career sustainability.
