Join us on Thursday, 10 August 2023 for an afternoon at the Ingenium Centre, a state-of-the-art facility designed to protect and showcase Canada’s national science and technology collection.

The afternoon will begin with at 3:00 pm with a 90-minute tour to be led by curatorial staff. The tour will give visitors a sampling of the many thousands of objects that embody our collective past – from great inventions to everyday devices. Visitors will also get a behind-the-scenes look at the Library and Archives, the Conservation Lab, and the Digital Innovation Lab.  Ingenium's website is https://ingeniumcanada.org/

In addition, Ingenium and the IEEE Global Museum will present a pop-up exhibit on IEEE's first Medal of Honor winner, the electrical engineer and radio pioneer Edwin Howard Armstrong. The IEEE Vehicular Technology Society will also be presenting a pop-up exhibit concerning its upcoming 75th anniversary.

This exclusive opportunity will be followed by a casual networking event from 5:00-7:00 pm at the Canada Science and Technology Museum. Light snacks and beverages will be provided. Transportation to the museum will leave from the Shaw Center at 2:30pm and return trips to downtown Ottawa will be available at 6:00 and 7:00 pm.

Be sure to register and take advantage of this occasion to connect with your colleagues and members of Ingenium's staff and talk about future opportunities to work together researching, documenting, and preserving Canada’s scientific and technological heritage.
