IEEE Student Branch University of Dhaka in collaboration with IEEE WIE AG SB DU and IEEE EDS SBC DU is back with the second phase of the online event titled 'Job Opportunities and Challenges in Bangladesh Power Sector'. The power sector in Bangladesh is one of the fastest growing sectors in the country. With the increasing demand for electricity, there are many job opportunities in this sector. However, there are also challenges that need to be addressed. Our esteemed speakers are both young engineers who have graduated from University of Dhaka. They will share their experiences and insights on the job opportunities and challenges in the Bangladesh power sector. This event is a great opportunity for students and professionals to learn more about the power sector in Bangladesh.

  Speakers

Md. Sakrul Alam is an Electrical and Electronic Engineer at Dhaka Power Distribution Company (DPDC). He studied Electrical and Electronic Engineering at University of Dhaka. Currently, he has been working in System Planning of Dhaka Power Distribution Company (DPDC). Now he is working with the ongoing changes of distribution network from over-head to underground in Dhaka and Narayanganj City. He has also experience working in Network operations and Customer Services.

S. M. Shakil Ahmed is an Electrical and Electronic Engineer. He has completed his B.Sc Engineering from University of Dhaka. Currently He is working as an Assistant Engineer at Bangladesh Power Development Board which is one of the largest Engineer's organizations of the country. He is working on power distribution system development projects in Greater Mymensingh zone including construction and renovation of 33KV, 11KV, 0.4KV overhead Line, construction of new 33/11KV outdoor substation for standard and reliable electricity supply.
