Biography:

 Founder Director, along with his Spouse, of BuildHr Management
Consultants Private Limited, a venture since 2009, with a vision to
be the most trusted service partner for Small, Medium Enterprises
(SME’s), Family Managed Businesses (FMB’s) and Start Up’s for
building HR capabilities & building organisational and business
process capabilities.
 Worked with over 500 organizations across sectors providing end
to end HR solutions at three levels of intervention – Consultative HR,
HR Partnership & HR Efficiency.
 Designed a complete solution for Small Business – ‘HR-In-A-Box’
to manage the employee life cycle on ZOHO tech platform.
 Works with the leadership team of SME’s and FMB’s on people
management and succession planning. Specialise in Leadership
Development.
 Anchors Workshops on Leadership, Synergy, Performance
Management.
 Provides Coaching in career transition for Young Managers and
First-Time employees.
 Prior to consulting worked in industries which includes Saint
Gobain, ICI, Sanmar, Balmer Lawrie.
 A Post graduate from DG Vaishnav College. Graduated from

The performance challenges facing the Small & medium Enterprise (SME’s)
and the Family Managed Business (FMB’s) are quite distinct and different
from the large Corporate and Multi-national companies. The primary issues
faced are in translation of vision, strategic planning, goal deployment and
performance management. People related issues include moving from
entrepreneur driven company to a professionally managed company. From
rewarding loyalty, the company needs to start rewarding performance also.
From valuing effort, the company needs to value results also.
This unique challenge of the SME’s and FMB’s segment has increased
the scope of the Human Resources function and demands higher levels of
creativity and closer working with the management goals. In effect, HR needs
to become a strategic partner in the business. HR needs to interface closely
with Technology and Quality and start dealing directly with efficiency and
productivity issues.
It has thus become imperative that we redefine the role of HR in SME’s and
FMB’s companies and equip them with the right knowledge and the right tools.
