The students of CSBS 2nd year were assembled in the CSBS lab where they were split into 6 teams of 10. They were instructed to talk about the role of SDG Goals in the development of the country. 20 minutes was given for the teams to prepare. Each team came ahead to share their thoughts on SDG Goals as a whole as well as what problems come under each goal and how they can utilize each of these goals to contribute to the development of the nation. After presenting each goal, they also drew conclusions and presented it.

The session was extremely enlightening. It gave everyone a new perspective of each goal and how they can work henceforth to contribute to them. Every student got to share their thoughts and suggestions to the others. They also voiced out their own concerns when it came to the goals, shared personal experiences and further stressed on why working on a particular goal was important not only for their generation but also for the future generations.

Through this session, the students gained an understanding on why each of these goals exist, what spectrum of problems they cover, how they are directly and indirectly impacted by these problems, why these goals are important, which goal their struggles come under, how their day to day problems and inconveniences are covered by these goals, what they can do to contribute towards each goal and consequently to the nation’s development.
