IEEE-USA Livestream Webinar: Young Engineers: Complement your Degree by Taking Steps to Licensure
Kathleen A. Kramer, PhD and Hasala Dharmawardena, PhD will provide some guidance and encouragement aimed at new and soon-to-be technical professionals in IEEE fields of interest for engineering licensure. Learn what credentials and opportunities that a license as a Professional Engineer (PE) can provide. Drs. Kramer and Dharmawardena will consider which career interests are most enhanced by becoming a PE, and who and when to take the first step of becoming an EIT. Discussion will touch on the pathways to qualifying, technical topics to cover on the involved exams, and relate required experiences, licensing and professional responsibilities, and different steps along the way to earning, and maintaining, a license.
