An event based on embracing careers from Volunteer Roots to give a valuable perspectives on how volunteering can mold and foster one’s professional journey  providing direction to the students engaged in IEEE pursuits.

The IEEE Student Branch of Sri Sairam Institute of Technology, hosted a session titled “Embracing careers from Volunteer Roots”, on Monday, 7th August 2023, for the student members to learn about building one’s career out of volunteering in the IEEE pursuits. The guest speaker for this event was Heyram EEE, The IEEE Yesist12 Website Coordinator, Website co-lead. Also a volunteer at IEEE India council, IEEE MAS YP.

The event started with an introduction speech and Welcome speech by Laasya G and Vinish S, student members of IEEE SB SIT, following which the speaker proceeded with his Keynote speech of how volunteering can help with the career of students. The participants enthusiastically engaged and interacted, including a question and answer period with the guest speaker. Then the vote of thanks has been given by Dr. G. Saritha, the IEEE SB SIT Councellor. The event was wrapped up positively and the audience's experience was gathered through feedback.
