The IEEE CIS Society organized an online event titled "Machine Learning with WEKA" on 2nd February 2022 from 11.00 am to 12.30 pm. The event was conducted in association with the CIS Society and took place on Google Meet. The venue for the event was Sai Leo Nagar, West Tambaram, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.

The event commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr V. Brinda Devi, the Head of the Department of Information Technology at Sri Sai Ram Institute of Technology. Dr Devi set the tone for the webinar and expressed her gratitude to the participants for joining the event. Her opening remarks created a positive and engaging atmosphere for the session.

The chief guest for the webinar was Dr S. Sathiya Narayanan, an Assistant Professor at VIT Chennai. With his expertise and experience in the field, Dr Narayanan added immense value to the event. His presence as a distinguished speaker inspired the attendees and provided insights into the practical applications of machine learning using WEKA.

 

The webinar saw the participation of more than 80 students who were keen to learn about machine learning and its implementation through WEKA. The students actively engaged in the sessions, asking questions and clarifying doubts. The event proved to be an enriching experience for them, as they gained a deeper understanding of various concepts related to machine learning.

 

After the webinar, Dr R. Prabhavathi, an Assistant Professor at Sri Sai Ram Institute of Technology, delivered the vote of thanks. Dr Prabhavathi expressed her gratitude to Dr Devi, Dr Narayanan, and all the participants for their active involvement and contributions to the event's success. She highlighted the importance of such webinars in fostering knowledge-sharing and promoting academic growth.

 

Overall, the "Machine Learning with WEKA" webinar organized by the IEEE CIS Society in association with the CIS Society proved to be a valuable learning experience for the participants. The event provided a platform for students to enhance their understanding of machine learning and explore its practical applications using WEKA.
