Professor Nurul Sarkar (School of Engineering, Computer and Mathematical Sciences) was invited to the Pan-Ethnic STEM Pathways Day, attended by 50+ High school students (Y12 and Y13) accompanied by their parents and Teachers on Tuesday 8 July 2025. The event was held at Auckland University of Technology (AUT) Engineering Building. I had an opportunity to talk to various students including few students from Auckland Grammar. They were very interested to explore computer science and IT especially wireless technologies. I demonstrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth networks and their practical applications in real-world scenarios. One of the bright students asked me about the security/privacy issues of Bluetooth technologies. Many students have expressed their interest in coming to AUT after that.
