“Nurturing Future Innovators: IEEE Awareness for the Students of IT Department”

On August 18, 2023, the Sri Sairam Institute of Technology's IT Department hosted a session titled "Nurturing Future Innovators: IEEE Awareness," led by Harish Anantha Krishnan R and Mohamed Ashik Irfan. Harish Anantha Krishnan R, an IEEE SB CIS Society member and creator of the Magic Team, and Mohamed Ashik Irfan, another dedicated IEEE SB CIS Society member, aimed to deepen IT students' understanding of IEEE's global significance, mission, and opportunities. The event began at 11:00 AM, welcoming enthusiastic students and faculty.

Harish Anantha Krishnan R introduced IEEE as the world's largest technical organization dedicated to advancing technology for humanity.Mohamed Ashik Irfanexplained the IEEE Student Branch's role in fostering students' professional and technical growth, emphasizing the benefits of IEEE membership, such as research access, conference participation, and networking.

Students actively engaged, asking questions and discussing IEEE's technical societies and initiatives. The Magic Team added excitement with a captivating magic show, drawing parallels between creativity, innovation, and IEEE's mission.

Harish Anantha Krishnan R and Mohamed Ashik Irfan highlighted IEEE's wealth of resources, including journals, conferences, competitions, and educational materials, urging students to leverage them for knowledge and career growth. The event concluded with an IEEE membership drive, inviting students to join the global IEEE community.
