IEEE Signal Processing Student Branch Chapter of ECE Department, Vel Tech Rangarajan Dr. Sagunthala R&D Institute of Science and Technology conducted a lab visit to “Centre for Biomedical Spectroscopy” at the Research park, Vel Tech. Dr.D.Neelamegam was the resource person and he was explaining about the principles and applications of each instrument, emphasizing their significance of spectroscopy in biomedical research. Also he demonstrated about the research work that is happening in the lab. The following are the items in the laboratory explained by the resource person:
- TH-1: Tungsten Halogen Light Source
- Flame-NIR: Flame NIR Spectrometer with the Range of 950-1650nm
- QP-600-1-SR: 600 um Premium Fiber
- QR400-7-VIS-NIR: Premium 400 um Reflection Probe
- WS-1: Diffuse Reflectance Standard, PTFE
- STAGE: Manual Optical Stage for Transmission Measurement
- Soxlet extraction apparatus
At the end of the visit, feedbacks were given by the students.
