SDSMT Alumni Speaker - Andrew Tobin
Andrew Tobin is an electrical design engineer at Garmin in Olathe, Kansas. He has worked with Garmin since August 2020, and before that interned with Garmin in 2019. He is an alumni of SD Mines with a B.S. degree in electrical engineering. While on campus, Andrew was active in the IEEE student branch and was president starting in May 2018 along with the IEEE HKN organization. He was also actively involved in the Society of Physics Students SDSMT student branch.
Andrew will share experiences with the IEEE SD Mines student branch, plant tours, and his Garmin professional work experiences.
The joint meeting between the IEEE Black Hills Subsection and the SD Mines IEEE student branch will be on Monday, September 25 starting at 5 pm with pizza provided by the Black Hills Subsection. The meeting will be in EEP254 on campus. Please RSVP so we have a count for food.
