The IEEE-RHU Student Branch of the Lebanon Section and Region 8, in collaboration with EMBS-RHU and WIE-RHU, at the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, organized a series of activities to celebrate the anniversary of the first-time IEEE members gathered to share their technical ideas on October 3rd, 2023

On this day we held a lecture entitled: Tiny Machine Learning: Making Microcontrollers Smart at the. To learn about its most important developments. Dr. Mazen Saghir, an Associate Professor at AUB, was invited to talk about Tiny Machine Learning: Making Microcontrollers Smart. The RHU IEEE members and Advisor, Associate Professor Dr. Maher Sabbah, expressed their gratitude to Dr. Mazen Saghir and presented him with an RHU-designed souvenir. They then joined for a cake-cutting ceremony to celebrate this day for all attendees and those in the College of Engineering.
The event featured an interactive talk on Tiny Machine Learning (TinyML), honoring speakers, showcasing projects, and food and beverage preparation, among other things, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The event showcased the volunteering spirit of RHU IEEE members, who shared innovative ideas about emerging technologies development and society empowerment. Tiny Machine Learning (TinyML) is expected to revolutionize various engineering fields and many industries. Through collaboration, IEEE members can contribute to the improvement of human well-being. All IEEE members from various disciplines participated: computer and communications engineering, electrical engineering, medical materials engineering, mechatronics engineering, and computer science.
