Learning Speaker Embedding using Deep Neural Networks for Automatic Speaker Verification


Dr. Syed Shahnawazuddin holds a Ph.D. in speech signal processing from dept. of Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, India. His research interests include speech and signal processing, machine learning, deep learning, and their applications in image processing, medical imaging, pattern recognition, and computer vision. He is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at NIT Patna. He has an impressive record, having authored more than 75 technical articles, international conference papers, and book chapters. He has also received several awards for his research, including the Best Paper Award at the INTERSPEECH Conference in 2016 and the Best Student Paper Award at the IEEE International Conference on Signal Processing and Communications (ICSPCOM) in 2017. He has also contributed significantly by reviewing numerous international journals and conferences in speech signal processing. In addition to his research, Dr. Shahnawazuddin is also actively involved in teaching and mentoring students. He teaches many courses in speech and signal processing, machine learning, and deep learning. He is also the supervisor of several Master's and Ph.D. students. Dr. Shahnawazuddin is a dedicated and passionate researcher and educator. He is committed to making significant contributions to the field of speech and signal processing, and to training the next generation of engineers and scientists.
