This event will give you a view into the world of high power semiconductor chip and module fabrication at Hitachi Energy Switzerland.
Hitachi Energy offers one of the most diverse power semiconductor portfolios, including GTOs, IGBTs, IGCTs, Thyristors, and Diodes in the power range of 150 A up to 13500 A and 200 V up to 8500 V. Today their diverse range of semiconductors ensures e-vehicles and trains run smoothly, generating power efficiently, and wind turbines turn reliably. In Lenzburg, Hitachi Energy has 4 fabs: One manufacturing BiMOS (IGBT, MOSFET) Si and SiC Chips in the frontend (starting from SiC Epi-Wafers, resp Si Wafers) for voltages from 1.2kV up to > 6.5kV, in 2 fabs there are manufacturing and testing the power modules for transmission & distribution, industrial and traction as well as for e-mobility, in the 4th fab Hitachi Energy is manufacturing of Chipsets for Hitachi's BiPolar elements.
