IEEE DAY was celebrated on 3rd October 2023 in RYMEC Ballari, IEEE SB RYMEC Branch organized this event with an invited talk on “Overview of transmission and General Safety Measures” by the resource person Mr. Kutubudeen Basha, Executive Engineer, 400KV - BPS, Kudatini, Ballari.

In this talk resource person covered the topics on Power generation, Transmission distribution and Electrical safety measures in brief to the students. Management G.B. member Sri. Korlagundi Basavanagoud, Dr. T. Hanumantha Reddy Principal RYMEC, Dr. Savitha Sonoli Vice Principal, HOD ECE, IEEE Chair RYMEC, Dr.S. Biography:

  1. Kutubudeen Basha, a distinguished professional, has excelled in both the corporate and government sectors, showcasing unwavering dedication and competence.
  2. His educational journey began with a Diploma from GPT Ballari where he achieved an impressive 8th rank.
  3. He pursued higher studies at Vijaynagar Engineering College (now RYMEC), graduating in 1996 with a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) degree, earning First Class Distinction (FCD).
  4. He embarked on his professional journey at Ballari Steels and Alloys Ltd from September 1996 to December 1996, where he demonstrated early engineering prowess.
  5. From there, Mr. Basha transitioned to JSW Energy Plant, where he served as an Electrical In Charge from December 1996 to August 2007, contributing significantly to the plant's operational excellence.
  6. In August 2007, he joined Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL), marking a pivotal point in his career.
  7. During his tenure at KPTCL, he assumed various roles, including Assistant Engineer (AE) and Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) showcasing his versatility and expertise.
  8. Currently, he holds the esteemed position of Executive Engineer, overseeing the intricate 400KV Transmission System in Kudatini, Ballari, where his visionary leadership and technical acumen play a pivotal role in ensuring efficient electrical power transmission.
  9. His illustrious journey serves as an inspiration to aspiring engineers, embodying the pursuit of excellence in diverse professional environments.
